Dr. Temitope Ilori is the first woman to assume the position of Director-General of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), a significant appointment made by President Bola Tinubu.
Dr. Gambo Aliyu, the DG from June 2019 to February 2024, was replaced by Dr. Ilori, who formally took over on February 22, 2024, for a four-year initial tenure.

Dr. Ilori was a Senior Lecturer at the Depboth as a Consultant Family Physician at the University of Ibadan and in the University College Hospital, Ibadan's Department of Family Medicine.
