Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad, had a toxicology test, which indicated that the singer's cause of death was unknown.
Speaking to the media during the Coroner's Inquest, Nigeria's Senior Advocate Wahab Shittu disclosed that the pathologist had stated in his court filing that the singer's body had already decomposed when the test was conducted.
He claims that it is impossible to ascertain the cause of death, Shittu said to reporters outside the court.
He presented numerous justifications. He claimed that the body had already decomposed by the time the test was performed, making it impossible for them to ascertain the cause of death.
In summation, he is stating that it is impossible to determine the cause of death, which implies that there is a grounds for suspicion, ambiguity, or lack of information.
The attorney added that the pathologist had suggested that the deceased's reaction to specific medications given to him prior to his death may have contributed to his demise.
He continued by saying that it might have been caused by a reaction to some medications that were given to him just before he passed away. Once more, he clarified that by saying, "I don't know if those drugs are what ultimately killed him.
Richard Somiari, the director of the Lagos State DNA and Forensic Center.
According to Richard Somiari, Mohbad's toxicological results should be available in the following three to four weeks.
"We expected to get the first set of autopsy results in three to four weeks and re-confirm to authenticate the cause of death," Somiari testified during a coroner's inquiry investigating the singer's death.
Since no specific explanation was given, we looked into a number of options to see if poisoning may have had a role in Mohbad's demise," he said.
The public was reassured by the forensic expert that there would be sufficient security and sample monitoring for the autopsy.
"Items are kept in a secure location for the protection of the findings. He replied, "There is a process in place for tracking samples that are sent overseas.
