N2.187trn Fraud: Detailed List of 58 Former Governors Under Investigation by EFCC, with a Breakdown

Vanguard claims that properties worth billions of naira that have been confiscated globally and those that are presently under investigation were not included in the total.

The amount of money pilfered is equal to the entire South-East states' (2024) budget of N2.29 trillion and Lagos State's (2.25 trillion). The N2.2 trillion budget is significantly more than the N1.89 trillion and N1.60 trillion 2024 budgets combined for the whole northeastern and central states.

A few of the 58 past governors are under investigation. A few have been questioned, looked into, and even charged. They come from each of the six areas of the nation.
