Davido: "My family provides electricity to most areas of Nigeria."



David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, is a Nigerian musician who recently disclosed that his family is in charge of supplying electricity to much of the country.

He claims his family owns four power plants, which makes a substantial contribution to Nigeria's energy requirements.


During an appearance on the American podcast "Business Untitled," Davido discussed his own assets and family enterprises.


"I tried to get into cryptocurrency once because it's very popular in Nigeria," he remarked. Aside from that, my family and I own four very valuable power plants. We supply energy to the majority of Nigeria.


"My spouse enjoys cooking. For her, we are attempting to open a restaurant. However, what I do best is what My music is something I adore.


Davido claims that his family provides the majority of Nigeria's energy needs, however many observers could take issue with this assertion given that he comes from a rich family with assets in the energy industry.

In Nigeria, the government owns the majority of the country's large thermal and hydroelectric plants.

61.16 million BVN registrations as the CBN deadline draws near

  On March 15, 2024, the number of people registered for the Bank Verification Number (BVN) climbed to 61.16 million.
