Renowned Nigerian bandit leader Kachallah Mai Daji is taken into custody by Niger forces.

Kachallah Mai Daji, a wll-known bandit leader from Nigeria, was apprehended by security agents in Nigerien while trying to rustle livestock in the neighboring nation.


Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert, revealed the bandit kingpin's capture in a post on his X account on Monday. He stated that Mai Daji was taken into custody on Sunday at the border town of Illela.


Makama penned:

"A Nigerian notorious bandit kingpin, KACHALLAH MAI DAJI, has been successfully apprehended by the Niger Armed Forces (FAN) at Illela, close to the Nigerian-Nigerian border."For nearly a decade, KACHALLAH MAI DAJI has imposed levies on villages, burned down villages, abducted hundreds of individuals, and killed scores of people.


He had a reputation for frightening anybody in his vicinity Tozai, Sabon Garin Darna, Darna Tsolawo, Tudun Gudali, Basanta, ̊an Kadu, Takalmawa, Gidan Hamma, Ambarura, Gidan Bulutu, and numerous other neighboring villages are located in the northeast of Illela.


"When he attempted to smuggle livestock across the country border, he was captured by Nigerien forces."
