The afrobeat sensation David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has openly discussed his ongoing child custody dispute with Sophia Momodu, his first baby mom.
According to TIMBLOGGIST, the topic is presently being litigated in court.
Davido vented his frustrations on his X handle on Friday night, writing, "You keep bringing up my child's death whenever you can, simply to remind us of this tragedy that haunts us every day of our lives. You can have her for now, but I made sure she would grow up knowing that I battled for her. Enjoy ❤️, P.S. She won't stay a youngster forever. I created Aurora Adeleke! Your dad adores you "All I asked for was 'joint custody,' but because it's Davido, you guys want to act like you can't read," he continued. SMH, I'm going to stop now. May God bless you all and may this not happen to you.
According to TIMBLOGGIST, Aurora Imade Adeleke, their daughter, is being sued by Davido, and Sophia Momodu has filed a defense. Her legal team, consisting of Dr. Bimpe Ajegbomogun and Anthony Idigbe, SAN of Punuka Attorney, filed the counter-affidavit, which was 102 pages long.
Citing Davido's unavailability and incapacity to give their baby proper care, Sophia argued against giving him custody of their daughter in a filing to the Lagos State High Court in Sabo, Yaba. She asserted that during their partnership, Davido never showed sincere devotion or affection for Imade, frequently requiring access to her before he may indulge his erotic appetites.
As stated in Momodu's statement, "He always required me to make myself available for his sexual pleasures before we could see our daughter or express our fatherly love for her."
Davido filed a lawsuit, LD/1587PMC/2024, requesting joint custody and unlimited access to Imade, as TIMBLOGGIST recalls. He claims in his lawsuit that he has always paid his share of the child's expenses, even though Sophia has made what he considers to be irrational demands meant to annoy and irritate him.
Momodu's legal team has responded by refuting the singer's claims and claiming that Davido has not seen their daughter since July 2022 on his own volition. Momodu goes on July 2022. Momodu went on to say that she alone has been responsible for Imade for the last two years, despite Davido's social media persona as an involved and encouraging father.
