From Sunday to Tuesday, there will be a number of thunderstorms and showers across the country, according to the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet).
The weather forecast from NiMet, which was made public on Saturday in Abuja, suggests that thunderstorms are probable on Sunday. Early in the day, rains are expected to strike areas in Adamawa, Taraba, Borno, Kebbi, Kaduna, Gombe, and Yobe States.
Thunderstorms are predicted to move into the northern regions around noon, and early-morning showers are predicted for the North Central area.
A combination of moderate thunderstorms and rainfall is expected later in the day over portions of the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, Benue, and Kogi States. Additionally, there will be sporadic morning showers in the states of Ondo, Ogun, Edo, Bayelsa, Cross River, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Delta.
It is predicted that Kebbi, Sokoto, Bauchi, Kaduna, Borno, Taraba, and Katsina States would see intense morning rainfall on Monday.
On the next day, Jigawa, Kebbi, Kaduna, Sokoto, Borno, Zamfara, Yobe, Adamawa, and Katsina States are expected to see a combination of mild thunderstorms and showers.
Additionally, the Federal Capital Territory and Plateau States are expected to see morning showers. Later in the day, the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, and Kogi States are expected to see more moderate thunderstorms and showers. Cloudy skies are predicted for the southern areas, with isolated showers likely in the morning over Edo, Rivers, and Delta States.
