Former Speaker of Nasarawa, Monarch Hail Sule, and the Army's Response to Insecurity

 

Yesterday, Usman Abdullahi, the monarch of Egbura in the Toto Local Government Area, and Ibrahim Abdullahi, the immediate past speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, praised Governor Abdullahi Sule and the Nigerian Army for tackling the security issues affecting the region.


Following Umaisha Central Eid prayer, they had a conversation. Abdullahi also commended the local vigilante group for their efforts. He underlined that in order for authorities to establish long-lasting peace, individuals must keep politics out of the security situation in the area, particularly because it includes lives.

UST-IN: Kano Governor Enacts 24-Hour Curfew Due to Violent Demonstrations and Theft

A 24-hour curfew was imposed on Kano State on Thursday by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in reaction to the growing violence during the #EndBadGovernance demonstration. The declaration was released through a press release from the State Government House in the midst of allegations of looting, assault, and vandalism on both public and private property in Kano City. Governor Yusuf emphasized, "This action is meant to ensure the safety of lives and property." After starting out peacefully, the protest quickly spiraled out of control, forcing the state government to step in.
