In both official and underground markets, the value of the naira has declined in relation to US dollars once more. On the black market, the value of the Nigerian Naira fell by 17% to N1,230 per US dollar.
All markets saw a decline in the value of the Nigerian Naira, with the black market suffering the most. The parallel market saw its biggest decline in more than a month on Friday, April 19, 2024, capping a sharp upswing from early March
Every market sees the naira fall to a new low. On Friday, April 19, 2024, the naira traded for N1,230 per dollar on the black market, down 17% from N1,050 the day before.
