Tinubu orders that graduates of the National Open University be included in the NYSC program.

President Tinubu has instructed the Federal Ministry of Education to create the appropriate arrangements so that National Open University (NOUN) graduates—especially those who fall within the service age range—may be included in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, in accordance with the law.

On Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the University's Convocation Arena, Jabi, Abuja, the president issued the decree during his speech at the institution's 13th convocation event.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) deputy executive secretary, Biodun Saliu, represented President Tinubu in revealing the answer to the protracted dispute over the admission of NOUN law graduates to national law schools.

Given how our wonderful country's demographics are changing, the government has realized how important it is to let NOUN graduates take part in the NYSC plan.
"Now that the Law School's doors are open to graduates, everyone has equal access to opportunities. The Federal Ministry of Education should take immediate action to resolve any outstanding issues or doubts, he stated.
Encouraging remote, open learning
In addition to celebrating the graduates' academic achievements, the president said that the event brought attention to the critical role that Open and Distance Education (ODL) plays in forming the country's educational system.

Thus, he reaffirmed the administration's commitment to improving ODL in order to increase access to higher education across the country, highlighting the fact that ODL use is crucial to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

"We'll keep doing this to raise the bar on affordability, accessibility, and quality."Authorities is, therefore, dedicated to ensuring that this style of education is well delivered in Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Education and the NUC, Tinubu continued.
The president was excited about how the institution has changed over time, first seeing itself as a working-class educational resource that has now grown to meet the demands of the younger generation.

In order to accept more young school leavers and strengthen social safety nets for the populace, he acknowledged the difficulty that many school leavers encounter while applying to traditional colleges and underlined the need for increased technological research at NOUN.

The president expressed his satisfaction that NOUN has emerged as a key player in furthering the government's dedication to accomplishing pedagogical objectives via ICT.

Government employees will enroll in NOUN's ICT programs.
According to what he disclosed, government officials will be able to enroll in postgraduate courses at the African Centre of Excellence on Technology Enhanced Learning (ACETEL) and other ICT programs offered by NOUN within the next six months.

In order to improve decision-making and operational efficiency, the government is implementing a transformative journey that incorporates Artificial Intelligence (AI) across all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAS). He urged NOUN to admit qualified government functionaries into its postgraduate programs offered by the Center of Excellence.

Additionally, President Tinubu assigned the NOUN-hosted ACETEL, which is financed by the World Bank, to concentrate on studies that will advance Nigeria's use of ICT tools for improved learning outcomes.
According to The Nation, the businessman was detained and charged by the EFCC for alleged naira abuse before a prestigious Nigerian court. However, he entered a not guilty plea and was given 10 million naira bail.

Online celebrity Bobrisky was just caught and charged with the same crime. He entered a guilty plea and received a six-month prison sentence.

Davido hurried over to the Cubana Chief Priest's comment page, his celebrity best buddy. Using Bobrisky as an example, he declared that he could not possibly avoid seeing the Cubana Chief Priest for six months.
"I'm not going to see you for six months," he remarked. Never.
