Today is the first day of the judicial committee of investigation into public properties and assets that Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf established to look into the previous administration of former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
Salisu Mustapha, the secretary of the commission, made this statement in a letter on Saturday to the director-general of media and publicity at the Kano State Government House.
The meeting will begin promptly at 10 a.m. at High Court No. 3 in the Audu Bako Secretariat.
Governor Yusuf established two judicial commissions of investigation (JCI) earlier this month to look into cases of political violence, missing persons, and misuse of public property and assets between 2015 and 2023 reaffirming his commitment to finding and prosecuting those involved for political violence in the state prior to and during previous elections, and to hold accountable anyone found liable.
During the course of the most recent administration, the governor requested the commission to look into incidents of misused public buildings and assets in great detail.
He gave the panel members instructions to follow their oath, preserve their integrity, and serve the people of Kano State by seeing to it that justice is done.
