WORKERS SALARY HAS EXPERIENCED INCREAMENT BY FEDERAL GOVERNMENT



wage increases for governmental officials under various unified wage systems have been approved by the federal government. Emmanuel Njoku, the head of press at the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission (NSIWC), confirmed the rise in a statement released on Tuesday, the eve of Workers' Day.

According to the announcement, the hike, which ranges from 25% to 35%, will become effective on January 1, 2024.

The statement went on to say that the six remaining consolidated salary structures—the Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure, the Consolidated Police Salary Structure, the Consolidated Para-military Salary Structure, the Consolidated Intelligence Community Salary Structure, and the Consolidated Armed Forces Salary Structure—are also subject to the augmentation
