wage increases for governmental officials under various unified wage systems have been approved by the federal government. Emmanuel Njoku, the head of press at the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission (NSIWC), confirmed the rise in a statement released on Tuesday, the eve of Workers' Day.
According to the announcement, the hike, which ranges from 25% to 35%, will become effective on January 1, 2024.
