BREAKING: The Actor Guild chair for Delta confirms Junior Pope's passing.

 

The demise of Nollywood actor Junior Pope Odonwodo, also known as Junior Pope, has been confirmed by Emma Onyemeziem, the Actors Guild of Nigeria's (AGN) Delta State Chairman.

While returning from a filming location, Junior Pope and three other actors perished in their boat that capsized in Anam River, Anambra State.

The industry was shocked to learn that none of them had survived despite rescue efforts.

Junior Pope posted a video of himself on Tuesday, April 9, 2023, only hours before the accident, wishing everyone a safe travel.

Unfortunately, fate had other ideas, and the catastrophe happened the next day while they were traveling back.

Following his sudden death, Junior Pope left behind his wife and three kids.

The latest tragedy to strike Nollywood this year is the passing of Junior Pope.

Prominent actors like Sisi Quadri and Mr. Ibu went away last month.
