The first batch of the National Housing Programme's (NHP) Offer of Provisional Allocation to Outright Subscribers of Houses has been made available by the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
Dr. Marcus Ogunbiyi, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, revealed this in his Abuja office.
According to a press release signed by Salisu Badamasi Haiba, the ministry's director of press and public relations, the first batch offer of provisional allocation, which started in April 2024, was issued in response to a review of the terms and procedures for the sales of houses under the NHP, which was communicated on December 29, 2023, via a circular Ref no. DPBH/645/1/43.
According to Dr. Ogunbiyi, some Outright Payment Subscribers have finished paying their bills, while others have begun making deposit payments but have not yet finished.
As a result, he also reminded the subscribers that the 90-day period was up for finishing all payments under the terms of the first batch offer of the NHP Housing Units' provisional allocation.
With this information, he stated, "the Ministry is informing all of the first batch of outright subscribers who have not yet paid for the houses that have been offered to them that they have been granted an extension of eight (8) weeks during which they are advised to pay for all of their outstanding payments."
Additionally, the permanent secretary declared that any subscriber who does not finish payment within the His offer will be rescinded after the eight-week grace period.
