NiMet Predicts Three-Day Rainfall starting on Monday

According to the NiMet weather prediction that was made public in Abuja, thunderstorms were predicted during the early hours over portions of the states of Kano, Katsina, Zamfara, Jigawa, Kaduna, Taraba, and Bauchi.


Later in the day, thunderstorms are predicted to pass over portions of the states of Kebbi, Adamawa, Taraba, Sokoto, Kano, Katsina, Zamfara, and Kaduna, according to NiMet.


"In the morning hours, sporadic rains are predicted to fall over portions of Niger, Nasarawa, Benue, Kwara, the Federal Capital Territory, and Plateau states over the North Central region."


"Thunderstorms and sporadic rain are predicted later in the day over portions of the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, Nasarawa, and Kogi States."


Cloudy skies are predicted across the southern region throughout the morning hours, according to NiMet.


The organization predicted sporadic showers in several areas of Osun, Oyo, and Ekiti Later that day, the states of Ebonyi, Enugu, Anambra, Cross River, Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa, and Akwa Ibom will be included.


Tuesday morning thunderstorms are predicted over portions of Taraba state, according to NiMet.


Thunderstorms are predicted across portions of the states of Bauchi, Kaduna, Kebbi, Gombe, and Yobe in the afternoon and evening hours.


"In the morning hours, sporadic rains are predicted over portions of the Plateau and Nasarawa States over the North Central region."


It stated, "Thunderstorms and/or rain are predicted over portions of the Federal Capital Territory, Nasarawa, Benue, and Plateau states in the afternoon and evening hours."


NiMet predicted sporadic rain in some areas of Cross River and Akwa Ibom States and a slim chance of drizzle in some southern areas in the morning.


The organization projected Later in the day, there will be sporadic rainfall in areas of the states of Ebonyi, Abia, Imo, Anambra, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom.


Thunderstorms are predicted to pass over portions of Kaduna State on Wednesday morning.


Thunderstorms are predicted later in the day over portions of the states of Bauchi, Gombe, Kaduna, Adamawa, Taraba, and Kebbi.


"Intermittent rains are predicted over portions of Niger, Benue, Plateau, and the Federal Capital Territory over the North Central region during the morning hours," the service said.


In the afternoon and evening, NiMet predicted thunderstorms and moderate rainfall over portions of the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, Benue, Kogi, and Nasarawa States.


It was forecast to rain intermittently throughout the southern region, with little chance of drizzle over a few locations in the area.


Because to the increased risk of urban flooding in major cities due to heavy downpours, NiMet advised inhabitants to stay away from places that are prone to flooding.


In regions where thunderstorms are predicted to occur, strong winds may arrive before the rain. As a result, the public should exercise appropriate caution and heed any safety warnings given by the appropriate authorities.
