Oga Driver, Davido, and AY Win Celebrity Awards

The 2024 Most Popular Celebrity Award (MPCA) went to Mr. Philip Arome Omachi, better known by his stage as Oga Driver, a radio host headquartered in Kaduna. He was named the most popular on-air personality.


Other winners include Odunlade Adekola, a male who is the most well-known actor in Nigerian language. Female: Fisayomi Olamide Abebi; male: Akume Akume, most well-known actor from English-language films.


The most well-known female actor in English films, Funke Akindele; the most well-known stand-up comedian, Richard Ayodeji Makun, popularly referred to as AY; the most well-known Afrobeat artist, Adeleke Ayodeji David (Davido); and the most well-known Fuji, Waisu Alabi Pasuma, are among the others.
